College is a place where young men and women learn priceless skills and knowledge, develop social and vocational networks, and gather special memories that will last them a lifetime. Unfortunately, it can also be a place where young people are exposed to pressures and temptations for which they are not yet mature enough to make wise decisions, sometimes with tragic results. These pressures, often combined with ready access to alcohol and a lack of adult supervision can result in injuries, assaults, hazing, and sexual assaults, that produce injuries and psychological trauma that are the exact opposite of the treasured memories that the college experience should produce.
When these events occur, it is important to seek out the resources that can help protect our young men and women from the long-term results. If you or one of your family members has experienced this type of loss, we hope this website will be of benefit.
